What’s with all the complicated joints?
Wood is organic. It is tempermental.
And it is beautiful. During its life as
a tree it slowly changed its shape.
New branches twisted. Leaves fell.

Long before Michaelangelo, marble was
separated from the mountainside
by wedging large pieces of wood
into holes and cracks. The movement
of wood forced immovable stones free.
The Lesson–wood wants to move,
we must adapt.
